Digital Product Policy

Last updated: September 2026

1. Introduction

This Digital Product Policy explains how digital content and online training provided by The Beauty Study Co (“we”, “our”, “us”) is sold, delivered and used.

This policy applies to digital products and online learning available through The Beauty Study Co, including:

  • Online training courses and workshops

  • Digital downloads

  • Manuals, templates, planners and guides

  • Pre-recorded training and video lessons

  • Business and training resources

  • The Beauty Trainer Toolkit

This policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

2. Digital Products and Delivery

Digital products are supplied electronically. Depending on the product purchased, access may be provided through:

  • An online learning platform

  • A digital download

  • A link to online resources

  • Google Docs, Sheets, Slides or Forms

  • Another method stated within the individual product description

Access is usually provided following successful payment unless a different delivery date or schedule is stated before purchase.

No physical product will be supplied unless this is specifically stated within the product description.

If you experience problems accessing your purchase, please contact The Beauty Study Co using the contact details at the end of this policy.

3. Online Course Access

The length of access to an online course or digital product will be stated within the relevant product description where applicable.

Some products may provide ongoing access, while others may have a specified access period.

Where a course includes both online learning and practical training, access to the online element may be provided before the practical training takes place.

Where the course has been purchased using a payment plan, all instalments remain payable in accordance with the agreed payment schedule. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for full payment plan terms.

4. Digital Content and Cancellation Rights

Consumers purchasing online generally have cancellation rights under UK consumer law. Different rules apply where digital content is supplied during the cancellation period.

Where you request or agree to receive digital content immediately, supply may begin before the end of the usual 14-day cancellation period.

Where you have given the required express consent for digital content to be supplied during the cancellation period and acknowledged that your right to cancel will be lost when supply begins, your statutory right to cancel will be lost once supply of that digital content begins.

This does not affect your statutory rights where digital content is faulty, not as described or otherwise does not meet the requirements of applicable consumer law.

Nothing within this policy is intended to exclude or restrict rights that cannot legally be excluded.

5. Refunds

Digital products cannot simply be returned in the same way as physical goods. Any entitlement to cancellation or refund will depend upon the circumstances of the purchase, whether supply of the digital content has begun, the consent and acknowledgement provided by the customer and their statutory rights.

If you believe that digital content supplied by The Beauty Study Co is faulty, not as described or inaccessible because of a problem on our side, please contact us so that we can investigate.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights.

6. General Licence and Usage Rights

Unless different licence terms are specifically stated for a particular product, digital products purchased from The Beauty Study Co are provided for the named purchaser's individual use.

All original content remains the intellectual property of The Beauty Study Co.

Unless expressly permitted, you must not:

  • Share digital files or course access with another person.

  • Copy or reproduce materials for redistribution.

  • Resell, sublicense or give away digital materials.

  • Upload purchased materials to another website, platform, membership or file-sharing service.

  • Use our original course materials to create or sell substantially copied or competing resources.

Some products provide additional usage rights. Where this applies, the specific licence supplied with that product will take precedence over the general restrictions above.

7. The Beauty Trainer Toolkit – Licence

The Beauty Trainer Toolkit is specifically designed to provide editable resources that beauty trainers can customise and use within their own training businesses.

Your purchase allows you to:

  • Create your own copies of the templates.

  • Add your own business name, branding and contact details.

  • Adapt the templates to suit the beauty training courses you personally deliver.

  • Create and reuse different versions across your own training courses.

  • Use completed versions of the documents as part of the normal delivery and administration of your own training.

Your purchase does not allow you to:

  • Share the original or editable templates with another trainer or business for their own use.

  • Resell, redistribute or give away the templates.

  • Include the editable templates within a course, toolkit, membership, template pack or other product provided or sold to other trainers.

  • Claim ownership or authorship of the original Beauty Trainer Toolkit templates.

Copyright and ownership of the original Beauty Trainer Toolkit resources remain with The Beauty Study Co.

Full licence terms are also contained within our Terms & Conditions.

8. Beauty Trainer Toolkit – Google Requirements

The Beauty Trainer Toolkit uses Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides and Google Forms.

A Google account is required to create, edit and save your own copies of the resources.

It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure they have access to a suitable Google account and compatible device before purchasing.

The Beauty Study Co is not responsible for changes made by Google to its products, services or functionality.

9. Professional and Accreditation Requirements

Our digital training resources and templates are designed to provide practical guidance and support.

Where a resource is editable, it remains the purchaser's responsibility to adapt it appropriately for their own business and training courses.

Purchasers and trainers are responsible for checking any requirements that apply to them, including those set by:

  • Accreditation providers

  • Awarding organisations

  • Insurance providers

  • Professional organisations

  • Relevant legislation or regulatory requirements

Purchase of a digital product or template does not in itself guarantee accreditation, approval or acceptance by a third-party organisation.

10. Compatibility and Technical Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that your device, software, internet connection and relevant accounts are suitable for accessing the digital product you purchase.

If you experience a technical problem with access provided by The Beauty Study Co, please contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to assist.

We cannot accept responsibility for technical problems caused by a customer's device, internet connection or third-party service outside our reasonable control.

11. Updates and Revisions

We may periodically update digital content to improve its accuracy, quality, usability or relevance.

Access to future updates is not guaranteed unless specifically included within the product purchased.

We also reserve the right to change the platform or method used to provide digital content where reasonably necessary.

12. Account Security

Where a digital product requires an account or login, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

Accounts and course access are for the named purchaser or learner and must not be shared.

We may suspend access where we reasonably believe an account or digital resource is being shared or used in breach of these terms.

13. Results and Outcomes

Our courses, workshops and business resources are designed to provide education, guidance and practical support.

We do not guarantee particular business, financial, employment or training outcomes as a result of purchasing or using our digital products.

Results will vary depending on individual circumstances and how the information or resources are used.

14. Intellectual Property

Unless specifically permitted under an individual product licence, all original course materials, videos, manuals, text, images, downloads, templates and other resources remain the intellectual property of The Beauty Study Co.

Purchase of a digital product does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property.

The specific licence provided with The Beauty Trainer Toolkit allows purchasers to customise and use those templates within their own training business as described in Section 7.

15. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in this section affects any rights a consumer may have regarding where legal proceedings can be brought under applicable consumer law.
